Client Referral Scheme – Terms and Conditions

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “CJ Bloor” means CJ Bloor Property Consultants Ltd.

“Referrer” means a previous client of CJ Bloor who recommends our services to a prospective client.

“Referred Client” means the person who has been recommended to CJ Bloor by the Referrer.

“Survey” means a residential survey carried out by CJ Bloor Property Consultants. Valuations are excluded unless expressly agreed in writing.

“Referral Reward” means a £25 Amazon voucher issued to the Referrer where a qualifying referral meets the conditions set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Scope of the Referral Scheme

This referral scheme applies only to qualifying referrals that result in a completed Survey.

Participation in the scheme does not create any partnership, agency, employment relationship or joint venture between CJ Bloor and the Referrer.

CJ Bloor reserves the right to accept or decline any instruction at its sole discretion.

What Qualifies as a Referral

A referral will qualify only where all of the following conditions are met.

  • The Referrer has previously instructed CJ Bloor for survey services.
  • The Referred Client is a new client who has not previously instructed CJ Bloor.
  • The Referred Client provides the Referrer’s email address at the time of booking.
  • The Referrer’s email address matches an email address held on CJ Bloor’s client records.
  • The Referred Client proceeds to formally instruct CJ Bloor for a Survey.
  • The Survey is completed and payment has been received in full.

Referrals must be declared at the time of booking and cannot be added retrospectively.

CJ Bloor’s records and systems will be relied upon in determining referral eligibility.

Non-Qualifying Referrals

A referral will not qualify for a Referral Reward in the following circumstances.

  • Prior contact – where the Referred Client had already contacted CJ Bloor before declaring the referral.
  • No survey instruction – where the Referred Client does not proceed with instructing a Survey.
  • Survey not completed – where the Survey is cancelled or does not reach completion.
  • Email not matched – where the Referrer’s email address cannot be matched to CJ Bloor’s existing client records.
  • Self-referrals or non-genuine referrals – where CJ Bloor reasonably believes that the Referrer and Referred Client are the same person, members of the same household, or that the referral is not a genuine independent recommendation.
  • Misuse of the scheme – where CJ Bloor reasonably believes the scheme has been manipulated, abused or used improperly.

Referral Reward

Where a referral meets all qualifying conditions, the Referrer will receive a £25 Amazon voucher as a gesture of thanks.

The Referral Reward will be issued only after the Referred Client’s Survey has been completed and payment has been received.

CJ Bloor reserves the right to substitute the voucher with an alternative of equal value where necessary.

The Referral Reward is provided as a goodwill gesture. CJ Bloor shall not be liable for any loss arising from the availability, delivery or use of any voucher issued under this scheme.

Complimentary Comparable Sales Data

Referred Clients may receive a complimentary Comparable Sales Data summary where appropriate.

CJ Bloor reserves the right to determine whether this information is provided in each case.

No cash alternative will be offered in respect of any complimentary Comparable Sales Data summary or any other referral-related benefit.

Conflicts of Interest and Professional Obligations

CJ Bloor operates subject to professional, regulatory and ethical obligations.

CJ Bloor reserves the right to decline any instruction where it considers that a conflict of interest exists or where proceeding would compromise its professional duties.

General

CJ Bloor’s decision regarding the eligibility of any referral shall be final.

Failure or delay by CJ Bloor in enforcing any part of these Terms and Conditions shall not amount to a waiver of its rights.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to the Scheme

CJ Bloor reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the referral scheme at any time without prior notice.

Any qualifying referrals made prior to such changes may be honoured at CJ Bloor’s discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
