A referral is only worth making if the client comes back happy. We are an RICS regulated firm, we quote a fixed price in writing rather than an estimate that moves, and a local RICS surveyor attends, usually within days. The report is then talked through with the client by phone.
And if we cannot cover the property properly, we tell them so instead of taking the booking. That is the part that protects your reputation as much as ours.
Common questions
What does the referral scheme pay?
A fixed fee per completed instruction: £50 for a RICS Home Survey — Level 2, £75 for a RICS Home Survey — Level 3, £25 for a RICS Residential Valuation. All exclusive of VAT, paid monthly on completed work rather than on enquiries.
Is there any cost to join?
None. There is no fee, no minimum volume and no exclusivity. If you refer nothing for six months nothing happens.
What happens to my client?
We quote them a fixed price in writing, usually within the hour in office hours, and tell them honestly which survey level they need — including when the cheaper one is right. If we cannot cover their area properly we say so rather than take the booking.
Do I have to chase anything?
No. Your page shows the status of every referral you have logged, so you can see what has been quoted, booked and completed without ringing us.
