A survey tells you what condition a property is in. A valuation tells you what it is worth, for a mortgage, an estate, a settlement or the tax return. We quote for the one you actually need, and if a cheaper option will do, we say so before you spend anything.

A home survey tells you what condition a property is in before you commit to it. Both levels follow the RICS Home Survey Standard, so each main part of the building is given a condition rating of 1, 2 or 3 and you can see what needs attention first.

Each one is prepared to RICS standards and written for whoever has to rely on it: HMRC, a court, a scheme administrator or an insurer.
